was not worth an hour in line with my whiny children.

Johanna went to watch her friend at his taekwondo class yesterday.  Afterward I asked her if she would ever want to do that.  She said “no” and we left it at that.  Tonight we were talking about it more and I asked her why she wouldn’t want to.  She said, “because of the bowing before you go in.”  hmmm so I asked What about the bow?  She said, “God.  Don’t bow before other gods, like in the veggie tales movie.”  Wow.  I’m impressed.

Idiot father of two year old sitting in doctors office:

When you see a small child, unattended!, running out the front door onto a busy street, GET HIM!!!

(Yes my child was mad at me.  Yes he was ready to go home. Yes my hands were full of shoes and pee cup trying to help my other child piss.  No I did not know where the hell he was until this stupid father casually pointed at the door.)  WTF why did you let him go out the door!!

I saw this in a catalog and it made me laugh.  Why on earth do they think this is a good idea?

I was leaving Ojai tonight and an ambulance passed me going the opposite direction.  A minute or so later it came flying up behind me heading to Oak View.  Two light signals later it had turned around and was going back towards Ojai.  I just hope he figured out where he was going in time.
