Thanks to all you folk who were able to come to my surprise party on Sunday. It really meant a lot to have so many people lovong on me. Sara and Nathan (esp. sara) did a great job! You guys are the best. For thems of you who didin’t make it because of the timing or whatever thanks for wishing you were there :-). Tomorrow is my actual birthday and we will be celebrating some more at the Pearce’s house for common meal! Hope you come.
It’s beginning to smell a lot like Christmas. We just got our tree and the whole house smells yummy. I’m sure Nathan will post pictures when it’s decorated.
I stayed home from church today and cleaned. It feels good.
In September we switched insurance companies in order to keep the kids’ doctor. Apparently for me this also meant switching medications. I have been on Zoloft very effectively for 15 years, but Kaiser “doesn’t cover that drug in their formulary” so I had to switch drugs. I was more or less willing to try something new, and seemed to be doing well on the new med. Or so I thought…remember my lovely week long misery of hives and horrible itch? It seems that we may have narrowed down the cause to my wonderful new drug. It’s the only thing I can think of. So now I get to try another new drug, yeah!! Now I just have to wait for the dang itching to stop.
I am completely covered scalp to ankle with ITCHY bumps. No one knows what they are or why I have them. So the doc gave me a shot of anti-inflammatory, and oral anti-histamine, plus some cream to rub on the “affected” area. Just give me a bath of calomine lotion please…make it stop.
